How our surveys work

We regularly provide asbestos surveys to property managers, businesses and homeowners. Any building owners who hold a responsibility to tenants have a duty to create an asbestos management plan. This plan is used to minimise the risk of asbestos exposure to individuals either working at or living on the premises. For homeowners, there is no legal requirement for having an asbestos management plan in place, but it is natural to want to understand the nature of any asbestos present to ensure that you and your family are safe at all times. In either scenario, the first step is to have a full asbestos survey.

We carry out surveys throughout the Midlands, everywhere from Wolverhampton and Leicester to Derby and Birmingham, as well as to small towns and villages in the region. Asbestos Lab Testing in the Midlands

As a part of all of our asbestos surveys we provide full asbestos lab testing – this is a key element of understanding the current condition of any asbestos on your property. If, during the survey of your property, we find any potential ACM we will carefully take a sample, and then have it sent away to a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) laboratory.

The samples will be fully tested by the lab, with examination and analysis. This analysis helps us to determine the presence of the material, and to fully understand its current condition. We would generally expect to have this analysis back to us within 24 hours of the samples being collected – it may be possible to expedite this process.
